Woodcock Johnson III Workshop
This two-day Woodcock Johnson III (WJIII) Workshop provides evaluators with hands on training in administering, scoring, and interpreting the results of the WJII. Instruction focuses upon helping evaluators understand how to use the data derived from the assessment for planning instructional interventions. Participants will learn how to identify cognitive abilities, learning disabilities, scholastic aptitudes, and current levels of reading, math, and written language achievement.
Since the purpose of evaluating students is to design appropriate instructional interventions, this workshop will give evaluators the tools they need to craft recommendations for classroom teachers while writing reports that clearly and concisely document aptitude achievement discrepancies for eligibility.
Evaluators will leave this workshop prepared to actively participate in team meetings and engage parents and staff in understanding student needs, making placement decisions and designing interventions for students who do not meet the current eligibility criteria for special-needs placement.
