Small Learning Communities
In addition to courses and workshops during professional development time and technical assistance, EPSI believes that consistent support in small group sessions provides staff with the support needed as they practice newly learned skills.
Teachers have opportunities to:
- discuss successes with new initiatives
- share ideas and concerns
- collect data for discussion
- organize case studies as researchers
- mentor and be mentored
- reflect upon effective practices
- conduct needs assessments
- plan for future professional development
